OverUnder/Carl:

I've been with Schwab since 1982 and have multiple accounts. I agree with everything both of you have said. Of course, inertia can keep you there as will having to learn a new system but I stay with them because of service -- always fair and friendly -- and innovation -- they are always a bit ahead of the curve. I value both highly. Sure, they may cost a bit more on individual trades but I've saved lots of money on no-fee mutual funds for years now and stock/option transactions have made me hundreds of times more in profit because of rapid and secure transactions.

I also don't work for Schwab but have profited greatly from investing in the stock from its first offering in the '80's to more recently. Whatever firm or firms you choose, make certain it's for all the right reasons and not just to save a few bucks.
