Yo Bob,
What is the investment community going to about "BoB":)
I am up even later in the night than you are,I just checked my portfolio. It's up!....today. This is a supporting note for you, there was some profit taking late in the day..
ARBA is a winner for ....today.They need to diversify their S/W services..soon. Otherwise they will be usurped. The corporate clients are going to want more from ARBA,like Cisco and HP.
They have a "jump start" lead on the market, but it's still a
crap shoot. The whole E-commerce,whether B2B or C2C is barely out of the womb.I am convinced that CheckPiont Tech or ARBA need to partner for sure. ARBA needs to reach way beyond paper clips and stationary.Major American Corps are braindead on the issues, not to mention that some V.P. at the end of the day is going to have to recommend a major layoff of "real people" just doing their job, manhandling all of the functions internally.Politics Bob..get off the technology and look at the political issues involved. Do you want to be the V.P.?
The investment community will go wild..but if I was the V.P.
I would definitely have my rear view mirrors lit up..internally.Maybe not such a good deal?
Anyway, this is a note to the whole investment community..
Bob,what are we going to do with you this late at night?
Go to bed and have visions of "suger plums" dancing in our heads.Life is good and Merry Christmas!...today
The "Chickenman" is signing off!

BOB MARTIN USA: Reason I pick Commerce One (CMRC) over Ariba (ARBA) is that ARBA makes its money by selling its ORMS platform software to companies but does not get a slice of the transactions the way CMRC does. Their recent deals with GM illustrate the nature of the difference between CMRCs enormous potential and ARBA; ARBA sold GM its ORMS platform, but CMRC won the GM MarketSite.
