It has been my experience that once the authorities have their minds made up that you are the one and only, there isn't much that can shake that "My mind is made up, please don't confuse me with the facts" attitude. They must be lead by the hand and the facts must be spelled out in such a simple way that a two year old can understand. This sounds like an interesting case from an outside-looking-in perspective. It's nice to be on the outside for a change. I'm sorry that your friend is going through this and hope that the facts and truth in this case make their way through that thick matter between the ears of the local law. PB
