Interesting and true. No wonder October has been the worst hit for me. If I had stayed out of the market before October begins in the last 3 years, let alone getting back in in Nov/Dec, I would have been a much happier man. Something to think about for Y2K. Now, how about this strategy going forward? Nov-Jan Fully invested with 20% margin Feb-Sep 50% invested, maintain active day-trade, (swing trade for me) Oct - Stay out or cut to 25% and take vacation Don't know about you guys, it would have brought me much more dollars if I had this strategy applied retroactive to my last 3-4 years of investing.
