Re Real Player

While I was having success with my Real Player 6 or G2 - not sure which was being utilized since both were installed on my computer, I was feeling left out because of all the complaints about RealPlayer 7. I hate being left out! So I deleted ALL my RealPlayer files and started over by downloading the RealPlayer 7 basic files. Imagine my shock when I went to EXBTV and heard the entire Hugh Downs audio, before anything but the initial big blue "EXBTV" page displayed, let alone the video! Talk about out of sync!! LOL However, after restarting my computer and trying again, all was back to normal....meaning it was just as good - I emphasize "good" - as before, which is better than any other site I have observed to date. I am convinced it is just the luck of the draw sort of thing! That's not an ideal situation, but hopefully, it will become more consistent. BTW, all this was at 28.8.

>>I bought into the KM deal big time way back and was pretty convinced (as many of us were) that it was a sure thing.

Yes Sean, many of us long-timers on this thread have been around since the KM blunder years. It was such a rush to see the UPGD deal announced. Now run with it UPGD so that AXC owners can realize some shareholder value! You had some great ideas in your post (medical card & electronic passport). I hope that someone from UPGD is monitoring this thread to take advantage of the marketing ideas.

When I first bought AXC back in '95, I was sold not only on KM technology, but also the possibilities of Ampex (equipment or tech) enabling video on demand to consumers. It would sure be great if both of these paid off in y2k. The stock price would certainly be well north of here.

>>The point that the development expense has already been written off should not be missed. That income is going straight to the bottom line. A thing of beauty for sure.

Definitely Sean! The entire patent portfolio is another great reason to buy or hold onto AXC. I think it was Carl that was pointing out (to Axxel) that the patent portfolio value is not reflected on the balance sheet. The patents are hidden gems! I'm sure we will be seeing more and more of our patents contributing to the bottom line in the future, especially as HDTV is adopted by traditional TV & cable broadcasters.

Have a great weekend everyone!
