I am not totally sure on last year's gain - I think there was a final spurt such that it might have been in excess of 100%. But my record keeping was a bit lax, and trading (informally) probably boosted the returns... anyway, we've done very well tracking some big leaders along with a few duds... nothing on Harmon though!

Incidentally, I had a so-so experience evaluating various low-cost ways of tracking a shared portfolio, when I was following the 1998 version of this. If anyone has any ideas about different solutions in this realm, I'm trying to find a good one for the purposes of tracking a customized index. The bigger companies in this field, like Stockpoint, handle this stuff (& customized financial info) on behalf of larger portal-type sites, but their fees run into the tens of thousands of dollars. Any ideas for a more modest way of doing this, please contact me.

I guess APCC may be down 50% - in a way, just bad luck of market timing in buying it at $37.

Last 120 days or so, it looks very healthy. Also notice the healthy & real earnings growth: 27% year-to-year
