Derek,

It is not that I have any doubt about the continuing viability (and probable dominance) of flash memory vs. rotating media. The real issue is simply that Iomega's stock price has gotten cheap enough that it is becoming difficult to ignore as a potential turnaround play. There is new seasoned top management, an obvious committment to making clik and zip succeed, easy numbers to beat after years of stagnant sales, and nice support in $3 - $3.5 range. I agree that their solution probably has a limited window of opportunity, but the risk/reward is beginning to look attractive relative to some of its more extended competitors. Without a doubt it is a highly speculative play.
