I was hoping Biznit Wankers would have to pony up some $$

Apparently they did. They claimed in a court filing that it cost them $40K to just defend the anti-SLAPP motion. Even funnier, the motion in question was a plea to the court to make us give them that money back, LOL!

It was really amazing how fast BW wanted to settle once Safeco came on board. However, I still don't know who the driving force was over there to keep the suit going as long as it did. I mean, considering how many months the suit went and considering how much they had to pay for one small part of it, it seems like they must have spent some serious bucks. Did the lawyers tell BW they thought they really had a chance to win, or did BW tell the lawyers to keep it going because they figured we were probably forced to waste as much money as them? Whatever the answer, I wonder if some BW employees will be getting a tad smaller Christmas bonus this year (g).
