Omicron Technologies Moves To Develop 2-Way Satellite Datacomm Service
With E-Commerce For Use In Vehicles

BELLINGHAM, Wash, Dec 6, 1999 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

Contracts BSQUARE to Write Auto PC Software; Service to Integrate
DataComm with Navigation, Enabling New Marketing and Commerce
Capabilities

Moving to develop satellite-based e-commerce and information services
for vehicles and other mobile users, Omicron Technologies, Inc. (OTC
BB: OGPS), announced that its Interactive Radio Corp. (IRC) subsidiary
has contracted BSQUARE Corporation to develop software to run IRC's
RadioSat system on the Microsoft Auto PC platform. RadioSat is a
satellite-based integrated data communications and navigation service.
In addition, IRC has signed an agreement with Vistar Telecommunications
to acquire mobile terminals to be used for tests and demonstrations.

"These are key steps to enabling e-commerce and other commercial
applications using our mobile communications technology," said Stephen
Crosby, President of IRC. "Our approach to combining 2-way telecomm
services with GPS data will create a new portal for marketing and
commerce capabilities." IRC will conduct initial demonstrations for
strategic partners next month, he said.

A primary application of the RadioSat system, according to Crosby, will
be to enable local broadcast radio stations to offer listeners an
instant response capability to radio advertising and to link activity
to web sites of radio stations and their business partners. It will
also enable other Internet-based services for vehicles and other mobile
users. Mr. Crosby stated, "IRC management is designing a business
strategy, a technology and service package that will serve as the
premier portal for e-commerce and Internet access in vehicles."

Crosby also announced that IRC has signed a memorandum of understanding
with a major satellite company and is in the process of final
negotiations to acquire significant satellite time. Details will be
announced as they become available, he said.
