Windows-based terminals are Windows-CE based devices that are optimized to access Microsoft Terminal Server (a multi-user version of Windows NT). As a Windows-based device, these machines can access Terminal Server through the embedded Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), and do not require a third-party layered protocol.
