Luke, help me out, what stocks perform well in a bear market?

The stocks you shorted. :)

I'm not speaking for Luke, but the context for me is that last fall was not a broad-based correction and the magnitude of the correction was not comparatively significant. If I remember correctly, the biggest part of the correction was in the small-cap stocks which fell about 25% on average. Most require at least a 20% drop to call it a correction, so 25% isn't huge.

Even so, it was enough to make my portfolio fall 45%.
