After following this thread for weeks, I'm still a little hazy about what CTXS does. Do they allow employees to tap into their companies' mainframes from remote locations more efficiently? If this is the case, why can't an employee just tap into their company computer over the plain old internet after giving a password?

Yes, but INTC's expected growth rate is about half of CSCO's. It's still pretty expensive in my book, especially when you consider the heavy capital spending. Not nearly as outrageous as CSCO though.

INTC update:

I just calculated the free cash flow per share for INTC over the last three years
(including taxes paid, but not interest). Here are the numbers:
1998 1997 1996
Op CF $9,191 $10,008 $8,743
Plus:
Prov for Taxes 3,059 3,714 2,777

Less:
Capital Expenditures
<3,557> <3,714> <2,277>
Acquisitions < 906>
Taxes Paid <2,784> <3,305> <2,217>
--------------------------------------------
Free Cash Flow 5,203 5,916 6,279

Basic Share O/S 3,315 3,156 3,284

FCF/share $1.57 $1.87 $1.91

Pretty hard to make the case that this has been a growth company
over the last three years.
