Meridian to Participate in NASA Technology Briefings

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- On Wednesday, December 15, 1999, principals of Meridian Holdings, Inc. and the company's Intercare Diagnostics, Inc. subsidiary will participate in the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Langley Research Center's technology briefings, showcasing the latest in NASA-developed biofeedback technologies.

The briefings, which will be held at East Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Va., are for the purpose of introducing the technologies, allowing attendees to ask questions, and providing instructions on submitting a commercialization licensing plan to NASA.

According to NASA representatives, the new technologies are suitable for incorporation into virtual reality biofeedback systems or new video games. Meridian's interest in the presentations is related to Intercare's prior work in biofeedback and self-regulation technology. Intercare
Diagnostics, Inc. is a United States FDA-registered, world-renowned biomedical software development and publishing company, with currently five multimedia software titles in the market, including self-regulation software in use by the U.S. military.

``We are delighted to be participating in these briefings and enthusiastic about the licensing potential for NASA's newest biofeedback technologies, especially as they might relate to Intercare's core competencies and commercialized products,' said Anthony C. Dike, MD, Meridian's chairman and chief executive officer.
