Dear Eski: If I were not ALREADY in SUNW I would await the split for two reasons. 1. As you point out SUNW sometimes actually drops for a short time after a split before roaring back. 2. The market in general and Techs in particular have been HOT this past few weeks. SUNW is about as HOT as any excepting the INTERNUTS. It would only be NORMAL for a cooling off period to occur not only in the general market but in SUNW also. Thus, if you are willing to gamble for a lower entry point, seems like the odds may be stacked somewhat in your favor. On the other hand, if you truly are a long term investor wont matter much in the long run when you buy, so long as you DO BUY. Another ploy to consider is to dribble in your purchases over a couple of months or more. JDN
