Jill,

The guy may be a 3COM employee peddling his company in desperation. Poor soul.

Regards,
Ibexx

UPDATE LONG PLAY!!
12/05/99 $384.44 TARGET=450.00 STOP=358.00(new) RISK=4.5

Friday did not offer the kind of buying opportunities that we
saw on Wednesday and Thursday. The good news? Those trading
and holding long positions were given a sign of what is yet to
come. QCOM tacked on another $10.44 conclusively bouncing off
both the 10-dma, ($370.35) and the 5-dma ($371.23). Remember,
it did this on November 28th and 29th too. Therefore, before
you jump into this VOLATILE stock, either wait for another dip
to near-term support ($360 to $370 and target shoot an entry
intraday or wait for a breakout above $390 or more
conservatively $400. Resistance is strong at $390, and of
course, there is the psychological resistance level looming
ahead at $400. The ultimate opposition sits at $406.12, the 52-
week high set on November 15th. There's an ascending triangle
forming on QCOM's chart and we will most likely see QCOM
continue to tighten it's pattern of higher lows. Typically this
pattern is indicative of a pending upward breakout. Now, what
do we need to accelerate the volume and increase the share
price? Let's see...how about a winning vote at the Special
Meeting on December 20th to increase the number of authorized
shares making a 4:1 split possible? What about an announcement
naming that elusive buyer for Qualcomm's handset division?

Picked on Nov 21 at $366.75
Change since picked +17.69
