22 Dec 10:23 FRANKLIN, Mass. (Dow Jones)-- PLC Systems Inc. (PLC) named Mark R. Tauscher president, chief executive and a director. Chairman Edward Pendergast had been serving as acting president and chief executive. In a press release Wednesday, PLC Systems said Tauscher was most recently executive vice president of sales and marketing at Quinton, a developer of cardiology products, medical devices and fitness equipment. PLC Systems said it hopes to place a greater emphasis on increasing the sale and use of its Heart Laser System.
