Another valid point is the fact that many New Haven residents despise Yale students. New Haven has three classes of people: very poor, very rich and Yale students. The Yale campus is a walled fortress in the middle of a battle zone. Many of the students come from rich families and look down their noses at the locals. New Haven is loaded with a lot of low life who would stick a knife in your ribs at the drop of a hat in order to get $5 for a bag of crack. I believe this was a random killing that will never be solved. There is another famous unsolved murder in New Haven. Remember the girl who was murdered in the parking garage elevator?

By the way, I lived in New Haven for seven years.

Maybe this has been brought up, I'm just starting reading this thread.
One of the articles said that the crime scene was too far ie. unwalkable in the time available. Somewhere else it said 1 mile.
You can walk 1 mile in 15 minutes if you walk briskly... I don't
know if anyone ever got out and tried to walk from the last spot
she was seen to where she was found and time that. Is it possible?
Does it matter? Maybe not, but I got the impression so far that
they assumed she got a ride from someone, someone she knew, but
if she could have walked it that opens up other avenues.
