Thanx Cheeky,

I just wanted people to see through the misperception of what shorting is all about. the %'s dont tell the whole story...

For example <--I can make MORE ona 80% gain on a stock and stillmake more than a long did who made 150% on the same exact stock,

Example ADSP case in point:

If you bought at 20 1000 shares and sold at 55<--you had a 185% return

If you shorted @ 55 and cover at todays price of 10 1/2<-- you gave a gain of only 80%

The point is , saying you made 200% on a stock in no way tells the whole story..In this case a 80% return is more profitable, in the end than a 185% return..

The only thing that counts ..is the bottom line ...CASH profit the %'s are totally irrelevant, and when people saY I make 20% or 15% ONLY on thes calls.. They dont realize , I still may be making more short than being long the same stock

It is about riding an elevator down from the top,, and not from The bottom to a lower point...
