I have seen stock gurus advising people of the ultimate holiday gift, a share in their favorite company to their family and friends. How touching, the sentiment is overwhelming, it can keep the holder warm and their belly full. <VBG> However, this does signal to me that the mania has gone much too far, something typical of before 29. Margin requirements are now different, but there weren't credit cards in 29. I wonder how may shares are backed by credit card debt? Contrarian investors should take some comfort in the nonsense now occurring IMO.
