Hello Tecinvestor. Great article. Looks like someone may owe me a dinner sometime next year. Despite the good news in that article it does not look like a deal between AOL and Excite/Athm before Xmas will come about. So, all together now: HAPPY Y2K and may Sonny get a free meal. gg. Which little Restaurant in Georgetown do you have in mind?

BTW, shows you how much time I have lately with my wife dragging me out to the stores. I did not even have time yet to read the Wash.Post. I was hoping I could do my share of buying through the internet. I did get a cpl nice buys there for the grandchildren.

The special guest analyst on WSW liked AOL in the tech/internet sector. He said the internet was still in its infancy.

On my way home tonight I heard this analyst touting Intel on a radio program. He opined that Intel is the King of the chip industry and sees it growing at least at a 20% clip a year. Intel's internet connection was praised also.

Sonny

Techinvestor. Re: Sonny, with regard to your comment: Maybe it's Athm/Excite what T and AOL are talking about. I am hoping they are waiting until January. Otherwise I may owe someone a dinner even though I didn't make an outright bet.

Re: Your comment: I know this great little restaurant in Georgetown. Very good food, not too expensive. gg.

I pass along the following article. Read the AOL stuff or read it all. gg. Looks like Y2K will be the earliest for any deal. Sheesh, the MSPG deal does not come into effect until T's commitment to Excite/Athm runs out. 2003? No wonder AOL will press on in their fight to open the cable lines. The author called AOL the loser in todays announcement but this AOL/WMT talk must have soothed the pain some. gg.

BTW. I know a cpl little restaurants in Georgetown, VERY expensive. gg.

I will add a cpl other links about Intel, Msft and AOL:

Did you ever check into Insp? Too high now to take a new position I would think. It will split soon. I never did get JDSU.
