Craig-- To make it worth your while.. how about taking prepaid orders right now for your next software upgrade on a pre-production discount basis. In that way, you will receive instant feedback and dollars from the dedicated users which will be a prepayment and incentive for you to start the upgrade. By offering a discount at this time, those of us who support your work will also have an immediate incentive to back you up, too. It would be a win-win situation for all of us.

SI didn't threaten me, but they did tell me that their lawyers did not approve of my product. I didn't go into it at the time, but it's possible that BrowseMaster violates copyright law by re-formatting copyrighted material owned by SI. A copyright covers not only the material being presented, it also covers the format of that material. There are a lot of gray areas in copyright law, so it's not clear to me if the current version of BrowseMaster is a legal product or not. Whether or not BrowseMaster is legal, SI can bring suit against my company, and it would not be pleasant to watch all my revenues go to lawyer fees.
