Try grabbing the line and pulling it down.

Since it looks as if no one has responded to your query, yet:

If you're using Internet Explorer 4 or 5, click on View, then Toolbars and select Address Bar.

If you get no results with that, you may have placed one of the other toolbars over the Address Bar, thus obscuring it from view. (It's all too easy to do. Been there, done that, when I'm flying around the web. <g> ) It may be necessary to grab the "handles" of each of the bars that are showing one at a time and move them to another spot to uncover the Address Bar. {Hover your cursor over the little teeny line next to File. The cursor will turn into a two-headed arrow, click-and-hold and you'll be able to drag-and-drop the bar you're working with anywhere you want on the top few lines.}

You can finetune your display so that only two lines of bars are shown if you wish. One line for the Text Bar (File, Edit, etc.) AND the Standard Buttons Bar AND the Address Bar. And one line for your most oft-used Links. This nets you more usable viewing area for web pages. And if you don't use the Links, kill that and you'll have even more screen at your disposal. And if you're even more screen-greedy (I am, even with a 21"-er), you can uncheck the Status Bar via the View button also.

If you're browsing with Navigator, I'll have to get back to you, because I don't have that installed at work. (But as I recall it's almost an identical procedure, except that it's impossible to cover up one bar with another, I think.)
