Lizzie, I suppose, based on Christine's comments it's an issue to some. Personally, I don't think anything is wrong with Starbucks. Success in business always breads jealous discontent people.

Starbucks treats it employees as partners, pays them above average salaries for a service industry, gives them a 401K plan, health insurance and a lot of other benefits.

It's a false sort of nostalgia to believe that small business employees and the public were better off when mom and pop ran the local store like in the Andy Griffith Show. Life evolves, changes and grows. We can embrace change, accept it, or we can torture ourselves with (in many cases) false images of the past.

Time to pack the kids, have a great day!
