Laptop mouse...

I'm assuming you're laptop has some sort of touchpad thingy in place of a mouse. What you'll need to do is take a look at your Touchpad Properties and make sure the setting aren't causing your troubles.

If you're using a mouse, make sure your laptop isn't confusing it with your touchpad.
