My cousin (who was also my best pal) died of colon cancer that had metastasized into the liver. When he was undergoing chemo, I was persuaded to track down some medicinal herb for him and a small group he had formed. This had the approval of his doctor, who helped form the group.

My cousin was also a lawyer and a former State's Attorney and former State Trooper. When he was a trooper he took part in some major drug busts. For a while, he was undercover narcotics and busted a major heroin ring. He also infiltrated a motorcycle club and one day busted the lot of them for drug trafficking. As a prosecutor he dealt rather harshly with drug cases. Hard drugs, that is. He treated marijuana cases in a different manner than drug cases. In his mind they were two different animals.
