Actually the <BR> has nothing to do with the music.

<BR> is the HTML that forces a line break. That is what gives you the space above the display of your music.

It can be used to break up lines just like hitting the return button on a word processor. I use <BR> for example in my profile to keep the favorite links lined up and down instead of running off the page to the right as SI has them programed to to.

<HR> will give you a Horizontal rule to separate sections of a web page or your profile as well. One can use size= to set the thickness, and width= to set the width of the line.
