>>>Rosen's intervention gave us a share price of $18 and a severely damaged reputation which will take another year or more to repair.<<< Rosen's intervention, the dismissal of EP and cronies, the sale of AV while retaining an interest and acquiring shares in CMGI, the appointment of MC, etc. is exactly what saved the stock from going lower than 18 and what saved the company from irreparable damage to its reputation. Where do you think CPQ would be if EP and EM were still at the helm? Scares me! Only criticism I have is that, perhaps, he should have done it sooner. >>>With a stronger nerve from the Chairman.<<< HUH??? The guy fires everbody in the place, moves to Texas, sits down at the desk where the buck stops for some 3 months as acting CEO, forms a temporary leadership group, puts on a world-wide search for replacements, makes changes that require more cajones than most will ever have, etc., and you make a comment like that. El throws his hands in the air, rolls his eyes, and turns on the football game!
