Jill, I think that was a slip of the tongue, but Dell
never was a King
. It was, and still is, a Prince With
Attitude. By definition, a King holds 2X the market
share of its nearest competitor. Dell was never in that
position.

Sorry to jump on your comment, and please don't take it personally,
but the thread is busy inventing new definitions today, and
honestly, I found the old ones to be very useful as measured
by my portfolio's growth.

Jill: Thank you for your post which permits Kevin N. Kalkhoven, the JDS Uniphase CEO, to present how he see his company.

One of the reasons I went with the old Uniphase was what appeared then to be the outstanding quality of his vision and management. That has turned out to be proven - in the event - as the old saying goes. And now he has an equally outstanding "inside man". KK bought not only JDS FITEL, he found an outstanding number 2 - and they make a great team. All just IMO of course.

He speaks well for himself, no?
