But why do you EXCUSE the police not arresting vandals? There were numerous TV shots of police standing doing nothing while only feet from them hooded vandals broke windows and looted. In some cases the protestors did more to protect private property than the police did. Huh? This makes sense? If the police had quickly arrested the vandals as soon as they started their vandalism, the whole situation might well have been under control throughout and there would have been no need for a curfew, declaration of emergency, etc.

Were for some reason the police given orders to allow vandalism to occur? Or told to disregard it if it did??
