Some site servers are slow at certain times, but its hard to quantify. But my cable service seems to be always fast compared to dial-up, so now I'm better able to determine if a slowdown is site-specific.

Another big plus is that I can now download software upgrades that I've been putting off. Today I downloaded IE5 and installed it. And I can now use my phone while I'm on the internet. I strongly recommend upgrading to cable or DSL if you're currently using dial-up.
