there are many proprietary features that product [protect?] companies like SNDK from bigger companies Could you educate me as to what differentiates one brand of flash from another? I am aware of the difference between compact flash and "smart memory" but isn't all compact flash memory the same? Is there any difference between compact flash from San Disk, Simple Technology or Lexar? Do these latter two companies pay royalties to San Disk? What are Japan, Korea and Taiwan doing in flash?
