Yes EL -- Boost it all you can. Find every booster available as CPQ has been sick for a long time. The antibiotics are being added to it all the time but a little boost to being down just slightly over 50% of the 52 week high does not indicate anything to be excited about. The only thing going for it is the fact it has been so low for so long the 52 week high will be catching up to the crappy level of this sick company. You have been doing a great job of shaking YOUR pom-pons and raising your skirt,,, I hope it does some good THIS time. Un like Vic, I think so much of Rosens actions and believe his action/inaction ARE at least partially responsible for much of CPQ's illness...

El: You can try to justify your non-decision to hold COMPAQ from $51 intraday to $18 all you like. I bought COMPAQ at an average of $26 with profits I had made from COMPAQ in previous years. I sold at $50 and $48.

Yes, it is true that I actually believed EP and EM when they gave false assurances about the progress of the DEC acquisition and sales for 4Q and 1Q (while the Chairman remained silent) and I bought back in at $41 intending to trade. I averaged down and got out completely in the Spring while you whined on and on throughout the summer cursing the man you now describe as "brilliant".

And what's your point, anyway? Are you saying that folk who invested in COMPAQ and believed their false public statements have no right to criticise Rosen or question your description of his interventions as "brilliant"? I would contend that folks like that are the most qualifed to criticise and question.

COMPAQ is a company not a religion.
