Take care you do not worship men rather than God and His Word. Your "fruit inspection" is greatly tainted by historical inaccuracies.If you are trying to find out who is Cain and who is Abel - you will be hard pressed to find more persecuted Christians than the reformed but then try the Jews shall you then join them because they have suffered the most? All religions suffer but it does not verify them as being true. I am not against Roman Catholicism because they persecuted men the most but rather because they are clearly in error according to scripture. Sola Scriptura !
