Ouchh! That hurts...

What to say but touche LOL

I seriously doubt that those stocks will outperform JDX over the next 6 months.

Actually, even combined, they might have some trouble ...

I guess only time will tell.

Kind Regards
AK

keith,
Very good post. For some strange reason, many people, including fuddle, sell the winners and hold the losers. Even worse, they often average down on the losers. Has anyone seen an explanation for this odd behavior?
regards,
teevee
PS: As an aside, I once met someone who initially bought a Vancouver listed POS at $1.50 and averaged down all the way to $.10 a share. When he approached management and told them how much stock he had, they offered congratulations on buying the company and resigned:-))

You missed some cheaper buys but you have the general idea. The portfolio is down 15% since it started. It is not a MOMO portfolio but a buy and hold value portfolio. It is selling below book right now and I expect the portfolio to have at least a 40% return from the original start value by March...it takes patience.
This does not represent what I own but is an example of a portfolio strategy. I own all of them but I personally have most of my money in BTS-T (average $30) and LMT-NY ($18) and still MOMO trade from time to time.

Glad to see you are paying attention from time to time

Discounts to book value etc etc etc. I scratch my head at some very solid Fundamental stocks. And I have gone and bought them because of some solid Fundamental analysis. meanwhile I have also sold those that were weak fundamentally only to wtach the heavens open and the stock price shoot up right through the opening after I sold.

It seems the true long term winners will be those stocks that actually come close to what their FUTURE expectations are and not what todays numbers hold. The warren Buffets of the world did this very well but I also beleive that those who can be visionary enough to figure out what the next MSFT will be will be those who prosper.

I have no idea if its a RHAT - at $200 is it a bargain or a completely overinflated joke? Sadly, I have done a poor job of picking tech winners to this point largely on getting silly with FA and with impatience as much as anything.

What does this have to do with JDX?? A little bit cus I am being patient and waiting. Just another Gamble really. I cannot say that JDX will not be worth $.05 in a year because I dont know - I also dont know if it will be worth $5 or $10 either. - I hope the latter and have my stops in place - Just finished up putting them all in place -

WOW... u made a killing fuddle if ya hung on to that portfolio (well... except CN.b)

Message #2870 from keith massey at Dec 5, 1999 8:12 PM

that a basket of APQ, CN.B,PVO, and MAE would out perform JDX over the next 6 months
I will take that bet in a heart beat and will happily bet any number of cyber beers you want. I have been following the "fuddle portfolio" from the start and actually have a running total of your buys and sells in a spread sheet just for fun...

According to your latest update...correct any numbers that are wrong.

3500 CN.B bought at $8.50 and $8.25 - last $5.40
6000 SUF bought at $3.10 and $2.40 - last $2.35
2000 WSP bought at $3.10 - last $2.37
7000 APQ bought at 2.44, 2.46 and $1.65 - last $1.65
25000 MAE bought at $.85 and .90 - last .73
24000 PVO bought at $.64 and $58 - last .51

I can understand why you would want this basket of stocks to out perform JDX but with the number of things
...
