Unless the internet fades into oblivion I'd bet with, rather than against, these 3 companies.

I believe the key word in this sentence is "assumption".Kind of like forecasting the future.To my knowledge nobody has ever accomplished that feat with any degree of accuracy.I also think that the author fails to give enough credit to these 3 giants of industry in that they would be unable to adapt to changing demands.
