Fred and All: I completely agree with you. While I was harsh on the kid (he's 20) who was asking for people to bring up specific instances of IPO's that had sympathy plays (I pointed out ISLD to him), I just feel that those questions don't belong on THIS PARTICULAR thread. I see this thread as a combination of forces amongst the savviest traders on Silicon Investor (Kimmie, Mogul, Jane, Big, myself and many others who I apologize for not mentioning)...Lately I have been noticing a lot of new people. I welcome that, it makes us stronger...but the rules need to be stated clearly. This is a STOCKPICKING thread where the free-flow discussion of INVESTMENT ideas takes place...not a thread where novice questions or light banter takes away focus from some good posts.

I have said my peace...back to stocktalk.

P.S. Anybody who wants to discuss this further, please PM me, I myself have taken up too much space with this discussion.

NTPL>>> Don't know if this was posted yet however, Seems appropriate to mention that If this were an upcoming IPO it would be a hot one..

Here is the company profile from Hoovers.. The last sentence gets my attention.

<It may sound like a big tennis and volleyball camp, but The Netplex Group's game is information technology (IT) and contract consulting services. The acquisitive company's services include systems integration; e-commerce system design; and network integration, management, and security. More than half of Netplex's sales come from its Contractor's Resources subsidiary, which provides IT contractors with back office services such as invoice tracking, insurance, and pension plan management. Netplex is also an IT temp agency, placing consultants and temporary staff from a pool of more than 40,000 IT professionals. Netplex's clients include America Online, AT&T, Chase Manhattan Bank, and Lucent Technologies.>

Buying at the open.. Wish I would have held my position over the weekend but I had no time to DD while trading on Friday..

Either way Risk is minimal..
