ATHM fools MSPG and trumps AOL.

@Home is a consumer brand name. This@Home, That@Home, etc. 2+ years from now @Home will be an even bigger brand name. Mindspring, what is that? Other than current subscribers, have average consumers across America heard of Mindspring? Who is signing on more customers per month, Mindspring or @Home?

People associate and will associate broadband cable access with @Home. Things are moving at the speed of light, by the time 2002 rolls around, perhaps all current users of the Internet will already be on cable or DSL.

The deal with MSPG buys time for this to occur, gives no ammunition to AOL, and allows ATHM to flourish.
