I don't know about a great post but I do know,

the acquistion is unnecessary. TLAB can be a formidable opponent in the Telecom circles in the next decade without a manufacturing headache the likes of Newbridge.

You see Tellabs knows HOW to build and cost effectively.
Newbridge does NOT, nor can it seemingly get its sales channels in the pipe. 5 out of 8 qtrs are a big bust to the street.

That last fact is the only reason I can't say without a doubt TLAB won't go for it. MJB could think, since we can control this part of the game, that this is the inroad to push CSCO to the wall. A gamble, sure, but, if that happens, be sure to buy the fallout. It will prove to be a great buying shot. Still holding for the great yr end # (> .40) and the Y2K reiterates for a buy and earnings increases. ADCT ain't alone in beating the street for next year.
