G'day all - DTF has a followup on VARL. Basically, it suggested that there were some insider selling, but it would be reasonable due to option expiration and [Robert has mentioned this already] to provide more share to the market [Personally, I am not as convinced about the second one, even though I am not too concerned about insider sales as I ve mentioned in my previous posts.]

DTF continues to say that while such a quick runup can subject to profit taking [my wordings, for, actually, it used different phraselogy] But it believes its product profile will sustain it due to higher profitability.

I think VARL has just begun being recognized as a growth stock. Therefore, the p/e expansion will happen

best, B

Harry --

I can't speak to strength of patented technology, but I do know part of VARL's advantage is their strong vendor relationships built up in the basestation market. They're an established company --- 49 years? --- and not an untested entity. To my knowledge they have no competitors in the US and their only global competition is in Asia and they win an amazing percentage. Robt will know statistics.

If the barriers to entry were easier, I believe we'd see more competition from US suppliers.

I appreciate the work you've done in analyzing the patents. Thanks for sharing!
