Basicly your premise about hedging and Barrick seems to go something like this - Ashanti got into trouble - its hedging programme was difficult to understand - Barrick's hedging programme is difficult to understand, so ipso facto it must be likely to get into trouble too. Rather like the old saw - a Pekinese is a dog therefore all dogs are Pekinese?
