Peter, that's why i usually lovingly describe WS "analysts" as stock pimps...because that's what they are. once this mania ends, there will be a lot of debate about this.
as usual all sorts of price targets were raised again today, mainly for stocks that have already gone absolutely parabolic.
eg.: NOK...now, this is a great company in a great industry, but raising the target at this point, after the stock has risen 100% off already dizzying levels within a few weeks time really takes my breath away.
we are experiencing a historical period of financial dislocation imo...i shudder to think of what will happen once either the liquidity spigot gets turned off or the natural limit of new credit creation is reached.
