That would be excellent. I'm burdened with a bunch of cash right now.

JMHO.

jim: I humbly disagree with you regarding the drop in SUNW's price after the last split. I maintain that the drop had nothing to do with, "'split momentum' traders." Tech stocks in general got hammered right after SUNW's split. Just look at this chart for SUNW, EMC, and CSCO:

EMC and CSCO did not drop at the same time as a "sympathy" move to SUNW's split.

Jim, I don't think you can analogize April 9, 1999 (the last time SUNW split) with December 8, 1999. December and January typically is a solid period for stocks such as SUNW; April is not. The market as a whole was not doing particularly well this past April, whereas it is doing quite well now.

Besides, while SUNW did drop precipitously around the first half of April 1999, it recovered nicely that same month.

jk, scott will probably announce another split real soon. wasn't it around $75 that he split last time. That's what they call "outstanding management" in the valley. <g>

PS:
have you noticed that scott no longer talks about the java and jini "devices" as a new revenue opportunity. This new stuff is only valuable because it sells more hardware. that's a change from scott that nobody has picked up on.

Dear Jim: Course there is a big difference between December and April ALSO HISTORICALLY!! Then again, look what SUNW did thereafter?? Course for some reason you are overlooking that, wonder why? JDN
