Randy - you and I obviously differ in our views about risk.

As for the risk that manic buying will push a stock so high that I wouldn't want to buy it, of course I agree. I also believe that the risk of paying too much for a great company (should one find one that they feel strongly about owning) is frequently a small factor after a few years of growth. The problem is, when do you buy the stock? If one wants to participate in the long term growth of, e.g., YHOO, then one has to somehow own the stock (as opposed to trading it).
