Well he mentions a thing very similar to the thing you mentioned. A wooden charm or something like that. Ironically, it was called Yojo (I think), which is close enough to Mojo that one could confuse the two.

I have listened to a lot of early blues and can't say as I have heard about a mojo there. But it is entirely possible that the fella was singing of a mojo and I could not understand him very well. Some of those guys get going so rapidly between the beat that it takes quite a lot to keep up with them.

No. My mojo is something altogether different from that you have described (grin).
