hello happy-girl, about the PUT / CALL graph you posted the link for...I attended a seminar by the Options Industry Council (1-800-OPTIONS and they love answering questions), and the instructor was of the opinion that PUT/CALL graphs do not mean anything...

please allow me to explain, if there are 100 PUTS and 10 CALLS,,, what on earth does that tell us...nothing... because it does not say whether the PUTS were sold or bought ... yes I know, for every seller, there must exist a buyer... but do we know why is the buyer buying PUTS...? no we don't... is the buyer creating a spread or what on earth is his/her strategy ?... no we don't... did the buyer buy for insurance... did the buyer buy speculating that the price will drop... same thing with the CALLS...

so, happy_girl, try not to confuse yourself with information that does not reveal much... now, if you told me that from your experience following CMGI that it retreats after a major rally, I'd buy that, and may even consider selling... the keyphrase here remains "after a major rally"...

best regards, and good luck
