Those are sound comments, Glenn.

The same doubts followed Aol and McCaw cellular for the same basic reasons. Fair is fair, but sometimes the "get big fast" tactic works very well.

One must expect a lot of doubt when a firm always loses money and loses at a faster rate. It just is not a typical retailer;-)

That's for sure! I think the doubt will continue to grow, but it will be very interesting to see how the market reacts to any surprising ability for Amazon.com to move *towards* profits (rather than away from them, as they appear to be doing up to now). Any ideas on whether gross margins will improve in the coming years?
