Seems like MRVC has their finger dead center on another "hot" future area! Amazing how they keep doing that.

Just a quick note on my limited understanding of this area.

Traditional routers route data "packets" using electrical devices and ASICs or Software.

This refers to wavelength routing or switching, which is not using data packets, but switching whole wavelengths of OC-48 or OC-192 OPTICALLY (no electronic devices involved). Traditional routers and switches using packets will still be needed (more than ever actually) of course.

I suspect Noam isn't calling the shots re: timing of IPO. Their bankers understand timing and will do what's best no matter what management wants. In the end it'll be to all our benefits if they wait for the right environment.
