Sam -

It sounds like a good acquisition. Here is a Solomon Smith Barney report from the Yahoo board.

John Dean indicates Seagate competitors are already in the Network Area Storage (NAS) market and this is Seagate's entry. How can Seagate get behind in these technologies when they are supposedly leaders in technology and the other drive makers are supposedly too poor to afford new technology?

I understand years ago EMC was originally providing storage systems for mainframes and then LAN servers in recent times. Does anyone know if they are in NAS systems?

Regards,
Mark
