Not only are insects the most numerous animals on earth, they are also the most widely consumed protein food by humans worldwide! Of course, not in America, however! Too bad--growing them nice, big and juicy doesn't pollute ground water or rivers, cause erosion or salmonella poisoning.

<< Maybe the game has been won- -but not by us>> Au contraire my friend I don't believe that there is an insect species alive that we couldn't drive to extinction [or nearly so] if we wanted to bad enough. At any rate we easily control their populations. Those that are a problem to us exist only because of the cost of there elimination or control is too high to be practical. But it could be done The same couldn't said about the microbes [ at the current time ]
