Frank,
That's what they were saying about AAPL and look where they are today.

Hang in there. There was a lot of buying in the last 10 minutes.

For the first time, SUNW has surpassed DELL in turns of market cap today. At the close of the market today, SUNW has a market cap of 114.4B, while DELL has a market cap of 114.2B. Do you think this is justifiable?

It appears that Dell got caught in Intels catch 22 Floppermine problems and escalating DRAM pricing. This double whammy doesn't bode well for Dell this Q. I'd say you are right about the "dead" money scenario. Same for Gateway and Intel...

Frank, thanks for this funny line. I'll get laughs from it for years to come.

ref...The Dell stock has died and we should either get a new CEO or sell our stock.

:o)

Frank, re "Dell either stays dormant or goes down."

I feel your pain, but I don't blame this on MD. Dell just isn't on the momentum players' buy lists these days.

When I get irritated by being in a dormant or declining stock, my emotions tell me to sell it. Emotions are dangerous when it comes to investing, so as a check I ask myself whether I would transfer money out of a stock with a recent runup to buy the stock in question (in this case Dell) if I didn't already have a sizable position in it. With Dell, the answer keeps coming back yes, so I'm keeping my position.

At these prices, you'll have to pry my Dell stock from my cold dead fingers to get it.
